The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. During his high school years he doubled up his courses in art which were helpful in learning the application of most mediums. Many of his high school pieces qualified for exhibiting in local and state competition resulting in occasional blue ribbon awards.
